Hello!
Lela here! Sorry it has been so long since the first post. Letta and I have been crazy-busy - but in that business we got lots done towards the Beautifully Built project! We're going to be able to teach through our local Recreation Department in Waterboro, Maine. Yay! We'll have a home! And be able to promote, so as many women as possible can learn to love and move their bodies!
We've also written out many of our ideas for making Beautifully Built as successful, fun, and far reaching as we can: it's going to take lots of work, but it's so worth it! There are already a handful of people interested: they range from college students to full-time mommies. Hopefully that interest will turn into enrollment come winter break.
Why are we waiting so long, you may ask, with such a wonderful program to offer (well, we think it's wonderful!). The answer is simple: while Letta is a proud college graduate, with 6 months of studying dance in India under her belt, I am not. I have one more year left before I earn my Associates Degree in Dance, before I head off in pursuit of my BA. For now, that means Beautifully Built classes will be offered only during my breaks. . . which still means five weeks of Winter Session and two Summer Sessions! That gives us time to plan and organize and get advertising and pulled together.
In other news, there will be another post immediately following this one. It will introduce a brand new section, called Beautifully Built Woman of the Week.
'Till next time!
Lela
